【Standard Update】The kick-off meeting for compiling *Technical Specification for Edge Computing Data Center Engineering*, edited by DTCT Datacent, is held.

The data center market shows a polarized trend. Large & hyperscale data centers keep emerging, while edge data centers have broad applications in financial/medical sites, smart parks, rail transit, airports, smart manufacturing, etc. Large/medium data centers have standardized construction and energy-saving measures. However, edge sites are scattered and small-scale, hard for unified management. Most existing edge rooms are outdated, messy and high-energy-consuming.

With booming terminals and digital transformation across industries, a dedicated engineering specification for edge computing data centers is urgently needed to standardize construction and support growing edge demands.

Approved by China Electronics Quality Management Association, this group standard is compiled by Zhejiang DTCT Data Technology Co., Ltd. as lead editor together with participating organizations, complying with association management rules.
