Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) released Announcement No.29 of 2024 on National Standards of the People's Republic of China. DTCT participated in the compilation of Evaluation of Green Data Centers (GB/T44989-2024), which has been officially published and shall come into force on June 1, 2025.
To implement national policies on energy conservation, technology and economy, conserve resources, protect the environment, advance sustainable development and standardize the evaluation of green data centers, the formulation of Evaluation of Green Data Centers (GB/T44989-2024) was approved by the Standardization Administration of China via Document No.28 [2021] of SAC issued on October 13, 2021 (Plan No. 20214360-T-469).
This standard specifies requirements for green data centers in terms of efficient utilization of energy and resources, green design, green procurement, green operation & maintenance, and green services.
During the development of GB/T44989-2024, Zhejiang DTCT Data Technology Co., Ltd. took part in the national standard compilation, with Chen Shi as the principal drafter.
This standard applies to the evaluation of green data centers and can be used for self-evaluation by data center operation and maintenance service providers. It aims to standardize green data center evaluation and promote resource conservation, environmental protection and sustainable development.
